No, but they do carry contagion.

Chaz only uses his powers for Good, so if he's attacking you, you've got bigger problems. Unless he does.

No, but they do carry contagion.

Considering how many Gamma deaths she's attended, she probably does, by now. I bet they all do.

Or you happen to be looking particularly sturdy on a subway when he's trying to tame saidsame powers so that he can use them, only for good and not be used by them. (I'm not arguing that he's a terrible person for doing this. But I do think things are a bit more complicated... Mind, I'm also curious about what that would be like.)

We do terrible things when we're in pain. It's sort of how the world works, sadly.

The "what that would be like" was actually about being on the receiving end of his mirror use. It sounds kind of interesting*. The Chaz side of things I think I can reasonably extrapolate.

* For fairly specific values of interesting, I'll grant you.

Yeah. I sort of wonder which bit of my trauma the mirror would fasten on...

Yeah. I sort of wonder which bit of my trauma the mirror would fasten on...

I also wonder what kind of amplification or distortion effects, if any, the mirror exerts. Is it all replay?

I wish I could be there!

Well, I wish I could be at the NK regardless.

But I'm in Michigan. Dang it, somebody bring me a TARDIS!
Me, too!

 Um, where in Michigan?

Lansing. Where are you?

Cheboygan! (aka just north of the middle of nowhere) but the spouse-dude is working in Battle Creek for the next couple of years, so I'll be driving through often.  I see Deltas converging on the Kalamazoo Air Zoo!  Emma & Will could come & Emma could talk about Falcon...

Oh, now there's something I hadn't thought of.

Thanks so much... (anybody got any brain bleach to spare?)

(Also, MG, is there a drink by that name on the NK menu yet? Smiley )

No brain bleach yet, but I may talk to my bartender.

Aaaaand now I have a . . . I think they're called plot bunnies? . . . in my head about someone else with a similar manifestation to the mirror using it to found some kind of New Spiritualism Cult or something, whereby the beta exorsizes the demons haunting postulants through repeated catharsis about it.

Of course, when we were discussing it somewhere around here however long ago it was, I think Everclear was mentioned as one of the ingredients, and I'd probably not be safe having more than about a tablespoon of the mixed drink. *wry*

Ooooh! /me offers the nice plot bunny a carrot... (fanfic? please? *grin*)

Everclear is illegal in WA, so no Everclear in Brain Bleach.

And I don't write fiction, I'm afraid. Somebody else can take it, if they want, but I have long since determined that I am lacking something other than practice required to write good fiction. An ability to structure things in a way I'm happy with, maybe. (No, please, don't tell me "You just ____." I have tried to write fiction. I am not happy with what I write, and in a way that I can't currently fix. Someday I might give it a try again, but dear gods, not now, I'm too damned busy.)

Um. Actually, it isn't... Liz and I have seen it at the local state store (151 proof. 190 proof??!? *boggle) http://liq.wa.gov/services/brandresults.asp *reads further on that page* ah, the 190 proof is "by special permit only" which, the way this state's liquor control board doesn't work, means "probably not". heh.

Oh, I'm not the one to say "you just ____" - my answer to that used to be "the only writing I'm any good at is technical writing", so I know whereof you speak, all too well...

Huh. I was unaware. However, I do not have the special permit, and have no desire to acquire it. Everclear brings in idiots and turns otherwise sensible people into idiots, and the only use I have for it is flaming jello shots (which are for decoration only, and only edible in the sense that they won't actually kill you unless you eat too many).

Flaming jello shots?

*shakes head* Dear ghods. *shudder* (My introduction to Everclear was back in the neolithic when I was married to a guy in the Navy, and it was used as the alcohol in the Purple Jesuses (however that plural is spelled)) (and I don't think I even drank a small amount, as someone else brought fresh pineapple chunks soaked in Galliano (which (Galliano) I normally hated) and I just sort of sharked around the table they were on...)
