...and then there's Reid trying to get Chaz to teach him how to pick up girls.
Forget that, I want to see Chaz teach Reid how to DRIVE. Drive-schmive, I want to seem them BASE-jumping!

I want to watch Hotchner try to deal with the ACTF's tradition of practical jokes and constant sarcasm. And Duke.

Hotch and Blaze.... ...would also be hilarious. Although I suspect only observers would think so. On the other hand, every organization has its assholes, so I don't think Blaze would represent anything really new for Hotch. Sol Todd, on the other hand, cannot be prepared for in advance. How would you even go about warning someone about him? "Don't believe any of his stories. Except the true ones. Um. Which aren't noticeably more probable than the rest of them, really."

Also, don't believe the self-deprecation. He's hypercompetent in his chosen fields of endeavor. Which are, um. Research and killing people. And maintaining a Zen-master aging-Hippie facade.

I think Hotch and Sol would get along really well. I suspect that after sufficient time had passed post-Foyet, Sol would have showed up at Hotch's front door with a fifth and a babysitter.

And there's a plot bunny, free for the taking. If only I thought I could do justice to Sol. And if only I were prone to fic.

On the other hand, every organization has its assholes, so I don't think Blaze would represent anything really new for Hotch.

*cough* Erin Strauss */cough* you know, I don't really like Strauss at all, and I think that's a bit over the top. Strauss is a Celatano, not a Blaze. The evidence points to her being an asshole because she thinks she needs to be in order to get the job done/further her career. Blaze (it appears) is an asshole simply because he enjoys being one.

I think the evidence points to Strauss doing what she thinks is best for the unit and the Bureau, and being an asshole is incidental.

Or because he can't help it. I've met both kinds and I'm not sure which is worse.
