It's been vewwy vewwy quiet awound hewe, so here's something to gnaw on: Chaz, though I'd never say it to his face, is an Iron Woobie. The question is, is Hafs a Woobie Destroyer of Worlds? (Caution: TV Tropes is a massive time sink.)

I think she may be. And both were brought on by a Break the Cutie maneuver.

Chaz has definite elements of Woobie-ness, but there's that whole 'I am the monster that exists to oppose other monsters' thing. The Woobie doesn't normally have quite the measure of bad-assery that the refined-in-fire Chaz does. There's definite elements of Being Good Sucks and Taking a Level in BadassAt the moment I don't think she's progressed past Break the Cutie stage, but the potential is definitely there. Or she could snap the other way and go Mama Bear on the Anomaly. For that matter going Mama Bear to protect the team is the reason she's in Idlewood in the first place.

Mom is definitely Mama Bear. But Dad has his Mama Bear moments, too.

I don't see either of them as a Woobie Destroyer of Worlds - not yet, certainly. So far, Chaz is staying solidly on the heroic side of Woobiedom. Hafs is still struggling with the Anomaly, but she's nowhere near the point of causing The End Of The World As We Know It. (Caution: TV Tropes is a massive time sink.)
No kidding. The folks at TV Tropes do get one thing right: Everything's Better With Platypi.

Probably worth mentioning that TV Tropes has a (fairly sparse) SU page.

Danny is the last of a dying breed: the not-crazy Texas Republican. I used to know some when I was young.

ah, back into the maze of tv tropes!
Someone should really add "character blog" to the shadow unit page. *is too lazy to do it*

Danny's conservative?
Look how much trouble they have just getting him to drink a different beer! He's definitely what we'd call a "small 'c' conservative" over here, which is more of a character judgement than a political alignment (it's perfectly possible to be small 'c' conservative and be a life-long Labour voter).

Danny's slightly to the left of Alex P. Keaton.
But only slightly.
