Interesting idea, having character playlists.  There were so many songs I didn't know or had only passing familiarity with the artists, but some of them really helped define aspects of the characters for me (or, I imagine they defined aspects of the characters).

Daphne Worth, for example.  The Leah Andreone songs and the Meredith Brooks?  I haven't thought about Andreone in years, but I had that album and those two, along with "Shatter" really express aspects of Daphne, and really bring me back to a place I was in back in college.

Great job putting those together.

(hint: many tracks are available on artist websites, youtube, Amazon, etc. And often, lyrics are on the internets. *g*)

Yeah, I'm currently engaged in finding and downloading as much of the playlists as possible.

I may have to do that, find some youtube videos anyway.  I just spent the last little while listening (not watching) some youtube Leah Andreone songs.  It was like going home.  I used to listen to her before track meets in college.  I suppose that explains why I wasn't that fast.

(It was Amanda's idea. Although I should mention that Em and I are both obsessive playlist compilers, and I suspect Amanda was not prepared for the response she got from us and Sarah. AND! AND! AND! AND!  NO NOT THAT ONE THIS ONE! AND! AND! AND! AND!

Ahem.

TOTALLY Amanda's idea. Great notion. And yes, we were firing messages back and forth, to the effect of, "No, that's not a Chaz song, that's a Lau song!" "No, no, it's totally Chaz in episode three!" "Well, that's obviously a Reyes song." "Unless it's a Falkner song..." "Yes! It's a Falkner song!"

Big clicks with the ones I know, and it helps make sense of the characters I don't feel I know as well yet.  And a ton of songs I don't know, so I'm gonna have some fun looking for them!

I realized looking over these lists that I am officially a geezer. I recognized most of the older characters' songs, and hardly from the younger crowd.

Le sigh.

This is your chance to catch up! New artists, man--you're only as old as your iTunes playlists let you feel.

(No kidding, check 'em out. There's some wonderful music on there that was new to me, too. I am so very geezeriffic.)

Bear vectored me in return, but since she mentioned most of the good stuff, I didn't have to get organized and send recommendations to Green Man Review. I think next year she's going to make me do the heavy lifting, tho.  Grin

You see? This is how Sol ends up with the longest playlist.
