While I am on a small island in the middle of the North Atlantic.

My island resembles that remark...
Well, at least I would claim there's only one island in the *middle* of the NA.

Welcome! (Which island is yours, pray tell?)

Okay - but feel free to come on in. The water's fine. And the local denizens only bite on request.

Smaller island. Further from the middle.

Not that small. Martha's Vineyard has forests, and gas stations, and an airport, and all sorts of stuff that truly small islands don't.

The one that has been rather too much in the financial news for the past year or so. Even in the US.

Indeed, so I've noticed. I do need to start tracking the various benches but right now I am so
not worrying. No. Really. I'm not. But can we skip straight to February anyway? Would also mean
skipping the short days up here, win-win.

Aw, but that'd mean missing so many nights of the aurora, wouldn't it?

*missing your island really much right now, presuming it's the island I'm thinking of*

Thank you! It is quite lovely, yes, and that doesn't go away.
