I dunno. If she's as crazy-ass paranoid as she seems, I think she'd cut herself off from her parents to save them from the Bad Stuff.

I am a simple creature with a very basic list of wishes.

I would like to see the LJ radio silence lifted.

An explanation would be nice and therefore I'm not really expecting one.

I want to see the Sol and Steve show return, because I see something new and revealing about
them both whenever I get to see them work together. Also, bonus! this requires more Sol.

I would like to see Hafs come in from the cold, more or less intact.

I would like the team to all be alive at the end of the season- yes, even Doctor Frost.

I would like to see more Idlewood.

(My fandom would also like a pony, since you asked.)

I hate you. where's my chicken third season of SU?

Hmm, I wonder what Angry Kitteh's season 3 wish list is. It would probably run as follows:

1- chicken
2- more chicken
3- Chaz out of the appartment more
4- chicken

I think fish should also figure somewhere on that list. Even Angry Kittehs like a change of pace.

Gunkholing is sailing a small boat close along an interesting shoreline with time out for exploring and picnicking, and days off when the weather is nasty.

Maine has good coastline for this, as does the Chesapeake Bay, parts of Cape Cod (although a shallow draft boat is preferred for that area) and other places I have not sailed.

What a ridiculous(ly suggestive) name for such a lovely pursuit.

...oh, no, Chaz is going to have to tell Hafidha's parents that she's, um. MIA.

My guess is that Hafs phoned home shortly after ditching Nikki. Even if she wasn't looking for comfort, she'd want to warn her parents that Bad Shit Has Gone Down.

In all our speculation about where Haf's mind is going, did anyone mention her parents? Her hippy, non-conformist parents who probably gave government conspiracy a good talking over every night around the dinner table. Maybe the paranoia isn't a new development, but the re-manifestation of something she learnt at Mama Gate's knee....

Not all -- not nearly all, thank you very much -- hippies and nonconformists are government-conspiracy theorists, as it happens. And if her folks were that type, Hafs would not have been especially likely to become a federal agent, much less a Secret Service agent, at least not without rebelling so hard she cut all ties.

No, but it makes a good talking point Wink

My Wishlist:
1. More Frost. Also more Frost POV!
2. More Es!
3. Some more scenes in Idlewood, perhaps more about the captured gammas from earlier in the show. Possibly packaged as Tales of the Monster Zoo II?

I’m going to go a different direction with my wish list.  This is for season 3, right?  Not the end of the series?  If what we’re looking at is an overall plot arc from start to finish, then season 3 ought to put us in the midst of a whole lot of conflict.  Bad Stuff will continue to escalate.  There ought to be some light material to better highlight how dark the Bad Stuff is, but I don’t know that I’ll wish for all of these happy endings.  That way lies cancellation.   Wink

So:
--a continuation of the “Hafidha’s AWOL” plotline, rather than an end to it.  Probably coinciding with a not-good uptick in the overall level of conflict.  (When is that assumed Hafidha-focused episode supposed to run, again?)

--conflict involving both Chaz and Daphne in such a way as to heighten the tension between them as (a) friends and (b) coworkers.  The ingredients for this one are already in the soup.

--yes, we should probably see more of Gray, probably in some way relating to Danny, but not necessarily.  Gray, after all, works somewhere in the Washington governmental machine.  If the pressure from Upstairs is coming not just from within the FBI but somewhere else, too, it’s entirely possible that Gray could become involved, however willingly.

(My poor head; I just started trying to make an argument as to why Erin Strauss is coming down so hard on Reyes – and then came smack up against the funhouse-mirrored divide between Criminal Minds and SU.  Ouch!)

--an involvement for Nikki that will lead to a season 4, or possibly late season 3, conflict point.  She’s been Teflon for the most part thus far, but she’s not invulnerable.  It would be good to be reminded of that.

--proof that Idlewood is not as secure as we and the team would like to believe.

--and, last but certainly not least, the loss of one of the agents in some fashion or other.  The team dynamics are shaken right now.  I don’t think it benefits the overall story to let them settle again.

My friend-brain hates you. My reader-brain is going "Ooh, shiny!"

There are hints at the possibility of Lau heading towards emotional breakdown. I wonder if there will be a crack Wink in that perfect  mask...

I am very much on board with the lots-more-Frost, more Es, and more Sol-and-Reyes double act suggestions!  Also the Return of the LiveJournals one.  And I would very much like to see the team working with a new member, if they can persuade the higher-ups that they need one - and find one prepared to move Down the Hall at all.  More explicit conflict between Es and Reyes would be interesting...

Definitely more snippets on how the Anomaly works, and why.

Less of the characters' personal lives.

And I would like see Gates held to account for shooting an unarmed and surrendering suspect.
