I hesitated before posting this, but the damn thing TOOK OVER MY BRAIN and insisted on being written, so, might as well.

OCs, 5300 words total, probably teen-appropriate

That's DELIGHTFUL.

And, well, a little prescient. *g*

Creepy, eerie, and fascinating.

Wow!  I was not expecting this much of a response!  Grin  Thank you to everyone for responding.  I'm glad you liked it.

Hmmmm.

I hope Duke finds her first.

Ditto.

Double ditto.

Triple ditto.  I also hope Lexy-the-excessively-responsible-big-sister-and-law-student isn't too much of a headache if/when he does...

Nope.  The style and tone of those middle two emails -- though not the scenario -- were, mmm, strongly inspired by some material at the Urban Legends Reference Page.  (Which is to say, there was no Kayla, either, and Prof. Georges has been vilely slandered.  Or is that libeled?)  I thought about writing one or two more, tracing the story as it evolved, but I hit my tolerance level for multiple exclamation points.

ETA: (And it turned out not to fit anywhere in the story, but the three siblings are in fact Alexandra, Alfred, and Alberta Aldrich.  The parents have not been charged.)

I really find myself wanted to know what happens next. So, ya know...if you write anymore about Alby, I think you'll find readers.
