So glad to hear it went well!

I missed it. Too much of a cold. But I will make it - and I'll be able to taste the food and all that.

Squee! (not coherent yet, and very very spoonless)

The "Inside Belltown" section/blog of the Seattle P-I has a write-up:

Maybe one of the sneakysneaky Deltas here for the opening did it -- and if you did, don't tell me! -- but part of me can't help feeling like the fourth wall evaporated. (Hrm. He must've just eaten, because we didn't have anybody ordering Beta-like quantities.)

Look here.  Just above the Welcome to the Night Kitchen.

Platypus-approved! (Maybe he was just doing his invisibility thing. Or maybe he was with Renee, and everyone forgot about them both?)

Praise everywhere! If I ever make it to your corner of the world, you're at the top of my list of places to go.

The mark of 2010: a black man with a non-wasp name is leader of the free world, AND the fabulous Night Kitchen opens with flair, to fanfare!  There really is hope for the world!  Yay, MG!!!  I'm so glad, we are all so happy to hear it was wonderful!
I have the Rose Parade on, and the marching band (best part of New Years: marching band on network tv!!!) is playing a very upbeat tune, and it seems to me it's just for you!

Oh. WOW!

I was pretty sure Chaz'd show up at some point - for your Tuckerization if nothing else - but opening night? Waaaaay cool.
