*snorts, and hands you the ice cream and whipped cream* For your respective pies. ...that's a blues metaphor, right? WOW, what an episode. I'm too brain-fried to squee properly, but I must mention REYES POV HURRAY and BRADY AND CHAZ THE VAUDEVILLE YEARS. And Falkner as Raven made me *facepalm*. Of course she is, why didn't I see it sooner?

Claudia Black. Vin Diesel. Yes, thank you, I'll take apple pie and pumpkin, thank you. My Kinsey Score is appallingly close to 0, but I will admit that Vin Diesel is an impressive specimen of maleness (my sister described him as "steamy"). Claudia Black is, on the other hand, terribly yummy, and got short shrift in "Pitch Black."

Emma, finishing reading that episode left me with a feeling like a belly full of warm homemade donuts. Solid, satisfying, and extremely tasty. I loved the parade, and the descriptions of the desert... I lived in Tuscon when I was very small, before my family moved back to Florida when I was five. Sonora is my own personal fairyland, where the weird and the wonderful happens against a backdrop of dangerous beauty. Also, I second almost everybody on the Reyes and the Chaz/Brady (now there's a slashy ship for you that like it... what happened in that hotel room when the camera was off?) and the mythology and and and... (Shorter MG: SQUEE!) OMG, Etherjammer, you have made my favorite icon EVAR. *yoink* Raven music: Wow, that's gorgeous. My own personal favorite Raven song: Ravens In the Library. I think Falkner would have to be Seven, if she was one of those ravens.

O. M. G. and "squee" and "I must have that on CD, or at least .mp3, whether I can afford it or not" (wish me many sales at the craft sale Friday and Saturday?). { ETA: Oh hell, It's not released. No CD. *whimper*whine* Anybody here know how to download a YouTube video and convert it to .mp3? } Also: Now that's really "music with rocks in" (yes, I've just re-read a certain Pratchett book... )

Oh, but I have to ask: Why didn't Chaz just download Hafs' info to his Adorable Overhyped Phone? It doesn't need WiFi to access the internet.

Maybe the AT&T network couldn't handle it, out in the boonies as I gathered they were. I've played with a friend's, and it's HORRENDOUSLY slow without WiFi.

Glinda, start by googling "convert flash to mp3." I don't know what platform you use, but it would appear there are many ways to skin a youtube cat.

Will: Thank you!
(Some days my brain doesn't even go as far as googling, and today is one of them. Other days, I do the googling for other people's questions. Mileage varies...)

I had assumed that it was something like an LG Chocolate - adorable and overhyped, but without real Internet access. (It's possible, but - based on my experience - spectacularly badly implemented.)

I own an iPhone (which is what I understand Chaz's AOP to be), and I assure you that while internet connection without WiFi is a bit slow, it is absolutely possible. I keep looking things up on Wikipedia while I'm at work (like the difference between vermicelli and capellini, because my boss asked me), where we have no WiFi nor any other internet connection, and it's entirely functional. Email is also not a problem. If Chaz was trying to go through a large amount of data, the screen size might be problematic, but just to retrieve the data is not a big deal. I was thinking it might be something along the lines of a secure email account, and he couldn't get enough security for it on the iPhone, so his phone wouldn't be able to retrieve the mail for that account. I just wondered what the official explanation was, if there was one.

Connectivity (AT&T can be spotty and slow around Tucson), screen size for viewing spreadsheet-type data, and difficulty of sharing that info with someone else. Chaz could hold the figures in his head and paste the whole thing together, but Brady couldn't; more energy-efficient to wait 'til he can get it on the laptop. He expects to be able to do so Pretty Soon. Really. (*sigh* Some days you get no love from the electrons.)

Ah-ha. Yeah, there's not actually a good way to view spreadsheet data on an iPhone. I hadn't thought of that part. This is one more reason why it's so nifty to have the boards. When I go, "Wait, wha?" I can just ask.

Good thing they didn't let Chaz drive, he would have had to use his FBI Powers (TM) to get out of a ticket.
