Nope. And besides, I'm pretty sure Sol's only relative is not bent on his ruin. (Somebody else probably is, though. Hey, is there room left on the FRTFO Bench?)

Technically speaking, Sol has at least two relatives....

NOT helping!

I dunno, stuffed animals are awfully chewy.

My thought process went approximately "Oh no! Poor Harpy! Poor Chaz. I wish I could check in with him, I bet he knows what's going on. Oh wait..."

Oh... my... *collapses under the mountain of ECR*

Even under the mountain, I just managed to further OD on the ECR by thinking this: What's this going to do to Wabbit? And what's telling her going to do to Chaz?

I waited to read Part 1 until Part 2 was up. Should have waited for all three. Now I'm stuck on this crappy bench. At least the snacks here are usually good.

Tell them what? Is it something about Sol or about Reyes or about someone else? Is it about exposure to the anomaly? Why does Sol need to be rested? Are these one thing or two separate things? Is the need for rest work/gamma related, movie agent meeting related (could this be how our tv show is born?!) or health related? Possibility three feels the most likely and most awful to me. Possibility three also seems like it could apply to either of the two men or to anyone in Idlewood (which I always want to type as Idlewild, but that's a whole other universe) or to the team as a whole. What's got me really worrying is why the "you have to tell them" bit occurs both when it's just the two men and before they send an agent into danger. I sense anomaly explanation stuff in the making, and it's scary.

It strikes me that while what has already happened is bad, there's something worse below the surface of the episode. Maybe not as bad in the physical harm to people you love sense, but in the creating emotional and other complications for next season. There is still drama left to unfold and not just bedside drama. After all, we still have one third of the story left to tell and the gamma is DOA. That means there is narrative thrust left that belongs only to our team, and I think it goes beyond the events at end of Part 2.

So yes, I'm on this bench for the long haul today. My brain is zipping around trying to figure things out to calm me down, and it is so not working. Usually when tv has me this worked up I can find a spoiler on twop to calm me down. Darn our PTB for their anti-spoiler vigilance.  Even Survivor has more leaks!

Why does Sol need to be rested?

I'd assumed it was because Sol is the shooter.

If exposure to the Anomaly creates an increased likelihood that someone will themselves catch the infection, this particular encounter offered not one or two but all of the WTFers to choose from.  It needn't end up Daphne.

I figured that it was because they were working on a set up with would require a team mate to expose themselves to a gamma who could cause aneurysms with a thought. It doesn't take much to misunderstand the gammability and end up with a dead teammate. And think about the set up - they knew exactly where this guy is. A sniper, several shots to the head, dead gamma, everyone goes home safe. I'm guessing everyone on the team is thinking about that option right now.

Mm, I think that makes several assumptions, but I will save them for the next post just to try not to muddle things further.

Huh. How does that work with his retirement?
