The Reyes Mythology makes me suddenly wonder about the Up the Hall Mythology. Maybe it's something like, "If we avoid looking Down the Hall whenever we can, and make jokes about it if we're forced to look, maybe the bad stuff won't get us."
Yup. Standard blanket-over-my-head stuff for monster protection.

This is fascinating... I'm lurking and reading lately as I've been feeling quiet. You are all awesome. Spicy hot brains.
Um. Everybody has their zombie protection gear ready, I hope? O.o So not a zombie. XD I meant that y'all are clever and the thoughts processes put out on this board frequently intrigue/fascinate/horrify/tickle my interest.

It's occurred to me to wonder how the climax of Unicorn Evils would've gone if Danny "fire your weapon until the magazine is empty, and if you have to, slap another one in" Brady hadn't already had the experience of looking at one of his teammates (presumably) gone gamma over the sights of his pistol in Sin Eater...

Messily, I suspect.

Badly. I have a more-than-just-sneaking suspicion that our PTB had been thinking of how "Not Alone" would end when that part of "The Sin Eater" was written.

Oh, does a Glock have an accessible hammer for Brady to jam the web of his thumb under? (El Jefe? Anyone?)
(The efficacy - well, and more to the point the problems - with this maneuver were discussed at that gun defense seminar that so unnerved me. And I seem to recall it is not possible on a number of guns, and I'm trying to remember enough about the Glock's I've handled...)
Like all fictional guns, it's "modified." You could try to grab the slide on a glock. I wondered for a brief moment why that pistol was described as having a hammer, but I just suspended my briefs. Or disbeliefs. One of those. And yeah, grabbing the slide in an attempt to keep a semi-aut from discharging is about as last resort as you can get.
