Love the quote under your userpic. I finally had to go buy another copy of "War for the Oaks." I never liked that drawing of the phouka-as-dog, but I miss my battered old copy. The new trade size is too skinny! **I intend to use this quote as an analogy for my son when we are working on Algebra. "See? Which book am I talking about? I could mean any of the possibilities of this subset of this group." Our entire conversational history seems to be a string of analogy and illustration. Because I am always attempting to find ways to translate my self so that others will "get" what I mean? hmm.... :] |

The back cover is starting to come off mine. *sob* (It's signed. And I don't want to replace it. But I re-read it every couple of years or so...) I continue to attempt to claw my way up toward the present. I'm gaining! That's good.
The fact that the Night Kitchen has become a fictional place is a tragedy. (As in, I can no longer go there and eat.)
The scene set there was eerily accurate. I think many people would be able to identify Rebecca on the streets of Seattle from that description. (Oh, that disconcertingly distracting pile of games in the corner of the lounge.) I tip my hat to the authors, and the MadGastronomer.
