That link has too many quote marks. Try this: http://www3.sympatico.ca/jpolowin/recipes/paprika.htm
Sadly, the page doesn't say how well the bribe worked.

I would eat those.

Actually, I think I'd make them with a combination of fresh-ground dried ginger and a little cayenne, and/or possibly a shake of black pepper. And maybe a little lemon zest. Or would that be too many elements?

Only one way to find out, Emma.  Smiley

And then, of course, report back to us.

I admit, it's one of the books I have in battered paperback for carrying around, and also in nice hardcover for keeping over the long haul.  I don't double up that often, but...sometimes you just gotta.
.

Me too, but my hardback is signed by both authors.  Grin

It stays in a nice safe place for occasional looks, while the poor, battered paper back takes most of the abuse of being re-read.  Cheesy

Mine too but I've lent it out to someone. I want it back now. Not because I think she'll lose it (she won't) but because now I want to re-read it and it is my only copy.

He invented the Fuse Box Dwarf, a little man who popped out at you from behind the paint cans in the cellarway and screamed, "Dreeb! Dreeb! I am the Fuse Box Dwarf!" Lewis was not scared by the little man, and he felt that those who scream, "Dreeb!" are more to be pitied than censured.

Re: Starting with Steve: I like Agyar an awful lot. *g*

Agyar is good (well, it's Brust.  What else would it be?), but my all-time favorite is The Sun, The Moon, and The Stars.*  But read it after you're read some of his other stuff.. you get added oomph that way.

Serial commas, yeah.
