So, if you had the opportunity to feed our favorite characters, our beloved PTB, or other members of the fandom, what would you feed them? Would you cook or take them out? Personally I am an OK but not spectacular cook, so I would probably take them out. My first choices would be Ichiban for Japanese and Chinese, Shalimar for Indian, or Phoenicians for Lebanese food (they don't seem to have a website). Of course, if people were in the mood for something else I'm sure I'd have good ideas for them too. |

To feed the whole team? Lasagna! Two of those big foil roasting pans, one red-sauce-with-meat and one white-sauce-and-spinach without. Chaz and Hafs will probably both have some of each, Lau will have the veg, and then there ought to be enough of the meat for the rest of the carnivore, with leftovers of the veg. Win!

I must say I am bemused to see "Chaz", "Hafs" and "leftovers" in the same paragraph. Me, I'm taking 'em out to O'Connor's, in Worcester. Aside from being the place I learned the sad truth behind "never eat anything bigger than your head", it reminds me of the place Lau took the team in "Overkill". (Er, other way round. That place reminded me strongly of O'Connor's.) |

I'd borrow my neighbor's two crockpots and make stew. One for Chaz, one for Hafs, and one for the rest of us. I'd also get a half-dozen loaves of organic wood-fired wheat bread.

If I were taking the whole team out to dinner, I would most likely cheat and take them to a churrascaria. I think the massive salad/appetizer/tapas bar coupled with a parade of young men bearing meat on skewers would do an ample job of feeding them. Plus, the closest one to me has a dessert bar.

Well, I could make them spaghetti... I'm a good cook, not a great one, except for my spaghetti. I don;t know why that's true, but it is.
More likely, though, I'd take them out to the nearest Space Aliens, because it would tickle my funny bone, and because I want to hear Duke comment on the decor.

huh. Do we know whether Lau has the lactose intolerance all-too-common to Asians? Problematic also if the Faulkners keep kosher. Meat and milk are not allowed in the same dish. Or, to quote a friend of mine: "Any god that denies me lasagna is NO GOD OF MINE!!!" |
