She was orphaned at age 16, when her father--her only surviving relative--was killed in a car accident that Frost walked away from.

That is immensely creepy.  and the sentence, structured the way it is, makes you stop and go "wha?!"

I should have known I wouldn't be the only one who keyed in on that.

I'm sure this had a lot to do with her ending up at the Bureau; they like their pathologists to be the tidy sort.

I just noticed something else.

"She never sees a living patient, except in pieces."

I...don't think I need to think about that one.

Yeah. I mean, she's a pathologist, her day job is looking at brain tumors, but...with this crew of writers? I'm expecting the worst, somehow.

Yes, but the words "living" and "in pieces" just shouldn't be together in a sentence.

That aside, I still think I love Frost.

I don't love her. (Yet.) But I can't wait to find out what happens next.

I'm *hoping* that the reason for that phrasing is that in her "day job" she only sees small pieces of her patients, that standing order about not coming into social contact with them.  You know, only coming into the operating romm after the patient is anethistized, that kind of thing.  I'm hoping that that's it, but I'm not particularly confident that my hope is well placed...

Makes you wonder how the other members of the family bought it and whose side she is really on.

It's okay that she's a sociopath so long as she's OUR sociopath.

Yes.  I read that and immediately flashed onto a certain S1 episode of Criminal Minds...

Yeah. She doesn't have friends, but as long as she doesn't see us as enemies... or problems to be solved... I think we'll be OK.

If she is a sociopath....

WELL.

My colleague is well past Aspergers'; if she's a high-function autist, she's remarkably so.

She's not the least bit charming -- makes her very atypical for sociopathy/psychopathy.

Hmmmmm.

*evil grin*
