Okay, so presumably the colored text at Hear The Word is how Hafidha sees things. Anybody have any guesses what it means? Is this something I should pull standard ARG tricks on, like copying down all the colored letter at ROT13ing them? Or am I looking too hard for meaning, and it's just a visual representation of how Hafidha interprets the data?
And the midi is creeeepy.

I didn't get anything useful out of ROT-13.
I'm trying to recall some sort of cypher that uses two four letter key words to process the encryption. If that is indeed the right direction, then I'm guessing the key words would be the highlighted WORD and WILL on the flyer Hafidha is handed.
Or mayhaps the different colors denote specific groupings?

I like to pretend that I;m good at figuring out this sort of thing, but I don't have enough friends who enjoy playing scrable and the like to keep me sharp. So far I've got nothing but a jumble of letters and some creepy background music. Oh well, I'm used to either figuring out this sort of thing right off or being completely stumped. Guess I know which this will be

LOL You think that's bad? I didn't even think to turn on my speakers before the music got mentioned here. (Ughh, creepy.)

Is the music going to be significant? I recognise it but can't remember what it is.
ETA: Beethoven's Ode to Joy from his 9th symphony.

Hee. No. Not to ruin anybody's fun, but I'd hate to have anybody spending hours on this to no avail.
There's no cipher in the colors.
That is, in fact, just a crude representation of what Hafidha sees when she tracks down the website. For now. (We're working on a better Hafidhavision effect, but we haven't quite got it figured out yet. Watch this space!)
Things may change in future though. And I am *so* swiping the ROT13 idea. *swipes*
The music used to be "Ode to Joy," before the Web Ghoul and Igor got done with it. Did you let it play all the way through?

Music swiped from Beethoven. Lyrics here: http://www.hymnsite.com/lyrics/umh089.shtI particularly like the "hearts unfold like flowers before thee" idea. And I really, truly, sincerely, did not need to hear that music all the way to the end. Really. Although the end is only slightly more horrible than the Gratuitous Key Changes.

That would be a "Yes, I did," wouldn't it?
Gave me the creeps, the first time Amanda played it for me. (The lovely thing about collaboration is that everybody else's work is so much cooler than one's own.)

what is Jane Sibbery doing in there? I mean - Walk in Good Company is appropriate but hardly what I'd expect of any church ANYWHERE

Color me strenuously embarrassed. Jane Sibbery was going on itunes to keep me company, and happened to be overlaid by the creepy and distressing version of Beethoven's Ode.
slinking off into the shadows....
(in my defense it sounded just as reasonable and even more creepy)

Okay. If we can pull off something we mean to pull off, your Jane Siberry comment is going to prove eerily prophetic.
I know my copy of WinAmp is psychic. Is it all music players?

I often wonder how much my WinAmp is paying attention to what I'm reading. It's very creepy at times. Luckily, it's not on now.

There's no cipher in the colors. Damnit, Bear, I was only going to spend five minutes at lunchtime looking at this. Cipher or no, it's the hidden links and the inherent possibility of diving deeper down the rabbit hole with this sort of code monkeying that is going to ruin me for the rest of the day. -m
