Finding methods so far: View Source, Firefox's ability to show all links ... and then there's simplay extrapolating from the filenames of previous easter eggs.

In FireFox, View->Page Style->No Style. That removes any styling from the hidden links that actually hides them.

Is this something I should pull standard ARG tricks on, like copying down all the colored letter at ROT13ing them?

A. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought about doing this.

B. I'm really glad that I read here before going through with it. Smiley

I have being trying the tools>page info>links in Firefox, and not really finding anything except two pictures. I am not very familar with finding easter eggs on html pages. Are there any other hints people can give me? It seems from the conversations that there is more to find.
Thanks,
*M*

If that's not working for you, Firefox also lets you view the page source (found, fittingly enough at View: Page Source), and if you do a search for the word "hiddenlink," you can find things that way.

Also, to find earlier easter eggs, look at earlier episodes/DVD extras.

Other tip: Firefox, menu bar, under View > Page Style > No Style. Scroll down to clicky bits.

(Ye gods, we hide these things, then we give away how to find them. Well, that's because we don't want you to miss them. We're funny. Also, I was always a lousy gamer. Roll Eyes )

Huh. Out of curiosity, was the way that the swf file from the tonally non-standard egg got cached in a different folder than flash files usually do on my computer intentional?

Now that you've got us all looking for clues in every corner...

how 'bout that image Bear uses to link to Shadow Unit from her webpage? (bottom image link on the left navigation stack on elizabethbear.com ) I don't recognize it, but my art literacy leaves something to be desired...

Those last two questions will have to be answered by Amanda and Bear, respectively...

It's a detail from somebody or another's Medea, IIRC, but I have forgotten whose.

Eggs wasted my morning! Smiley I'd found most of them - but there was a couple I hadn't seen (obviously, if I'd found most of them).

Frogs are my favourite.

I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in ~Characters>Esther Falkner, but since the line is from an Easter Egg, this seemed safer.

Plunger
"They never made these damned things long enough."
I so feel for her. I'm only 164 cm (about 65") so it is actually possible for me to get a tub longer than me, but it would mean having to knock out a wall into my closet. (My current tub has an internal length of ~54" and water depth of ~8-12".) I don't recall Falkner's height, but the longest one person tubs I've heard of in mass production top out at ~72". Chaz would definitely be out of luck. That said, I was so tempted by some of these japanese style tubs which you sit up in when I found out about them, because I'd be able to fit one in my bathroom, but I don't have a separate tub and shower, and to me showers are for cleaning and tubs are for soaking so I haven't taken the plunge yet.

Oooh, complete with optional neck pillow and heater (sigh).

The last place we lived had a claw-foot cast-iron tub long enough for me to stretch out in. (Unfortunately, that was large enough to use the entire contents of the water heater tank and then some.) I used to tell my landlady that when we moved, I was taking it with me. She, being only slightly less tall than me, pretty much said, "You do, and I will hunt you down."
