Amanda and Bear made a Shadow Unit animated banner of much awesomeness! You can put it on your LiveJournal profile page, or your Wordpress or Blogger blog, or your webpage, or... Hey, you guys are smart; you'll come up with more things than I will. When you find a spot for it, post a note here to report on it! http://www.shadowunit.org/shadowbanner.gif

This is probably an idiot question, but how do we snag the code?

Awesome! I put it in my lj profile with a link back to the main site. I also figured that to save your bandwidth, I'd upload the picture to livejournal's photohosting; if that's a problem, let me know.

You can just use the url for the banner as you would any image file.

You can just use the url for the banner as you would any image file. And if you don't know the code for an image file, you can copy and paste the following code, which will also make the picture a link to the SU mainpage. (Bear, dude, some people don't know how to do that.) Code: <a href=http://www.shadowunit.org><img src=http://www.shadowunit.org/shadowbanner.gif></A>

Hey. The internet is full of HTML cheat sheet pages! How do you think *I* learned? I learned the same way, some dozen years ago now. That doesn't mean we can't help out the people who haven't learned yet. And even copy-pasting is better than WYSIWYG editors.

That makes total sense, I'd just never used it for a .gif file before. (For being online all day, I am NOT code savvy. I am the end user/"village idiot" that gives developers nightmares, and happy to stay that way.)
