Clemson McCain sounds like he looks like Pruitt Taylor Vince http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0898546/.

Yes, I found three Easter Eggs.

Wonderful, awefilled stuff.

Better to search the source code for "hidden".
Thank you, that worked!

First and foremost: *applause* Leah, that was great!
Second: OUCH. A lot.
Third: Poor Susannah. That poor, poor girl. Teenagers can be truly awful to each other sometimes! That said, I find it interesting that the Anomaly doesn't work through her in violent ways. The end result is the same---killing the people around her---but the poor girl cracked and became a gamma through her desire to be normal, accepted, pretty. And in trying to help her friends while they were trying to help her, she accidentally killed them. Further interesting that she did recognize it, and did try to contain it (the always shrinking from the touch of others, etc.), but it just didn't work.
And Worth's point toward the end---"Should she even be here?"---is a good point. Maybe Susannah would do okay out in society. But that's a really tough call. I see Reyes' point. But I don't have to like it.

Thank you, Leah.  That was brutal.  I stayed up way past my bedtime to finish it.

Oh - Anyone else catch echoes of Susannah's story in what was happening to Falkner's kid?  I was reading too much into that and there's a door that could have just been opened that could come into play anytime in the next four seasons.

I have to think it crossed Falkner's mind.

I'm stuck on an acronym booboo in the middle of Act 3. It's HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.)

Yup, that caught me, too.

Another grump. The Tashlich ceremony occurs on the afternoon of the first day of Rosh Hashana (the second day if the first is a Saturday). It does NOT take place AFTER Kol Nidre, which is the beginning of Yom Kippur - the Kol Nidre service ends about 9pm in most of North America, and it's dark and cold. Not the time to be walking down to riverbanks.

Ow. I'll be the one in the corner with the teddy bear, thanks.

Nice job, Leah! I teared up at Susie's POV and continued on tearing up until I'd finished (actually, I didn't quite make it to the end, had to get kleenex while reading the Falkner home scenes). Looking forward to your future episodes!!

Also, Still Not Liking Reyes. At all.

Huh.  I wonder what Susannah's primary crack could have been.

Also, this is our second unsub-pov episode, and I think it's interesting how differently the anomaly seems to communicate with Susannah and Melinda.

Well, at least you found out a little bit of something about *somebody's* crack...

And the Wikipedia entry on Hodgkin's lymphoma has been thoroughly scoured, I assure you.

More likely in men. Fairly curable.  Treated with radiation and chemotherapy, like most cancers, though I don't think I know enough about oncology to understand the fine distinctions.

Oh, and she missed her period for four months after remission.  (I think that was the implication?)

And now we get to wonder whether she missed her period because of weight loss or because of the traditional reason for missing periods. And we know she got dumped somewhere in there.

I'm stuck on an acronym booboo in the middle of Act 3. It's HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.) Never mind that people who work in bloody hospitals and should know better because they've sat through interminable training sessions call it HIPPA; it's HIPAA.
The bit that got me stuck was the bit about early October days and Thanksgiving in the opening paragraphs.  My instant reaction was, "Wait, Idlewood is in Canada?"

Great story, though!  I'm deeply impressed at how consistent, and good, and consistently good, the writing is for Shadow Unit, even with "guest" writers.  If only even one of my TV shows was half as reliable...
