I don't know, but I'm moving to the Freaking Right The Fck Out Bench.

Who's with me?

I third that.  Or fourth it, or whatever the number is right now...

Well, if you're not invisible all the time, then there are the moments when you cease being visible, and when you pop into view again out of nowhere....

They're called "restroom stalls."

You too?  I thought I was the only one.   Cheesy

There's nothing that 48 hours will make all better, except successfully avoiding some event.  I hope Chaz is just in avoidance mode, slinking away to hide instead of facing whatever it is that scared him.

And, hopefully, the event he's avoiding is a trip to see a matinee showing of The Dark Knight.

Or, more accurately, his friends insisting that he accompany them to a matinee showing of The Dark Knight.

I'm there! With Chocolate Chip Almond cookies, and homemade Vanilla Cordial.

We'll probably get hints from Cristalia's LJ

Unless, of course, Cristalia (aka Leah Bobet) has been inducted into the Sekret Society of Powers That Be. In which case Radio Silence may be observed at Chaz's request.

and maybe from Daphne and Hafs. I hope.

I hope so, too. Of course, if Chaz is hiding from them (or at least from their hypothetical insistence on his seeing The Dark Knight), we may not get hints that make us feel any better.

FRTFO Bench, here I come!

Well, she *is* one of the Spider Women of Queso Grande, so anything is possible.

Daphne: You can do this. You just have to stand up on it.

Chaz: Can't.

Daphne: Stand up on it, damn you.

Chaz: On belay?

 Daphne: Belay on.

I'd be comforted by the movie-avoidance idea if it weren't for the niggling thought that he could do that by leaving town...so why'd he make a point of leaving US jurisdiction? I'm sure I'm missing something really obvious.

I keep wondering if it's not a statute of limitations from back in his Screamer days.

Maybe there's something he wants/needs to do that's legal in Canada but not in the US?  And needs a 48-hour window to be done in?

Sounds plausible. But what can be done Sun/Mon?

I'd need people who know a lot more about things that are legal in Canada but not in the US to answer that one, I'm afraid...

The only thing I'm aware of is buying 222s, and I doubt that's it. (Aspirin, caffeine, codeine. Or tylenol, ditto. Available over the counter, and cheap. I go through a small bottle a year, with my doctor's knowledge and blessing, when the vico doesn't work for the migraines.)

I'm wondering if there's something going on in Toronto he wants to attend (music?) and the whole "out of US jurisdiction" thing is a smokescreen?

And the avoiding-going-to-see-Dark-Knight theory doesn't wash for me, 'cause hey, if he's not along and they want to see it *with* *him*, they'll reschedule. (Poor Chaz. Doesn't understand the "friends watch each other's backs" thing when his back is the one being watched, or he'd know he could just say "I don't think I could handle seeing that." (With "After what I've been through" not even needing to be said.)
