I'm prone to them myself, just from reading a lot of British fiction from childhood onwards.  Some of them are several decades out of date, too, as I read a lot of things like E. Nesbit as a kid.  The other day, I actually proclaimed "Brill!" and then had to explain myself.

 Grin

I read a lot of Enid Blyton and Chalet School books as a child and once said to my mother, "Thanks Mum,  you're a brick!" She almost killed herself laughing.

Zhou stated in an interview with Q magazine that she was listed to have one line, "What was that?", before dying in the explosion. However, she so impressed the producers when she was asked to read regular cast member Chrissie Hynde's lines during a blocking scene, that they cast her in a recurring role as local medium Joyce Chen.

So, clearly in the SU-verse, Ms. Hynde's gotten work since the Pretenders (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pretenders)broke up.

Or at least in the show-verse.

Hey, maybe 'Delta' is the show that got Patricia Zhou discovered.  (/Her/ bio says showed up at a call for extras somewhere.)

That could work. Is this the kind of thing?

"Patricia Zhou turned up, along with half of her shift, to be an extra in the infamous extended episode of Delta entitled "Boom Banga Bang Bang". This episode, in which several well loved and longstanding characters were killed, centred on an bomb planted in the police station cells to remove evidence of prisoner mistreatment. (Rumours of a mass firing of actors as a result of the "Pickle Incident" remain unsubstantiated.)

Zhou appeared in twelve Delta episodes before taking up her role in Shadow Unit. Her other credits include a music video for Scottish band Franz Ferdinand and a "blink and you miss her" part in War of the Worlds."

Yep, that's it. *grins*

This.  Will eat.  My life.

I edited Zhou's page to add her bio. I'm a complete noob at this wiki thing though, so it may need editing. And I added a page for Delta TV Show, using hawking's summary.

Chaz Villette (played by) Robert X. Aguilera

"This is the mixed-race Los Angelino's first appearance as a series regular, though Beto's had a string of two-minutes-on-screen roles as Second Gang Lieutenant and Weird Kid in High School Hallway.

Aguilera holds the Shadow Unit TV Show record for the most appearances on Delta, with a grand total of four. He played Skinny Kid in Diner in the episode "Puppet on a String," Second Gang Member in "All Kinds of Everything", Dead Cycle Courier in "Making Your Mind Up" and also Ominous Shadow in the Halloween Special "Hard Rock Hallelujah". He claims to have no knowledge of the "Pickle Incident".

In a recent Ellen appearance, Aguilera spoke about his experiences of Season One.

Aguilera: "Refining Fire was hard work and a real challenge for me as an actor - both emotionally and physically. But the hardest episode was definitely Overkill - that scene in the Irish pub nearly killed me! Chaz eats a lot and I had this whole pile of food in front of me and I had to keep ploughing through it. Everyone else kept screwing up their lines and we had to do take after take. (he laughs and shakes his head) And they kept bringing out more and more food for each take and I had to keep eating. And the camera was on me the whole time, so I couldn't fake it. I was getting real sweaty and going pale - they had to keep putting more and more and more make-up on me. I ate solidly for about three hours.

When they yelled "cut" for the last time, I ran - no, staggered - outside. It was horrible - I ended up curled up in make-up - nearly crying because I was so full and my stomach hurt so much."

Ellen: "Oh, you poor thing. Did the rest of the guys apologise - for, you know, being useless?"

Aguilera: "Kind of. John and Camryn fluffed the most lines, so they got me a present. (he pauses) A season ticket to an all you can eat Irish buffet. I'm still trying to think of something to get them back."

As he had expected to spend the first twenty years of his acting career playing carjackers while waiting to be adjudged old enough for character roles, he's somewhat stunned to find himself in the sort of job where his picture gets taped to teenaged girls' mirrors. Aguilera, despite his goofy good looks, is a serious actor, and what's described in the business as a "triple threat." (He also sings and dances.) He is keen to do more theatre and vows to appear on a Broadway stage at some point."

any use?

At a quick glance, yes, a couple cases of British spelling and word choices--but don't worry about it.  :-)  Nothing that's not immediately understandable, and if it bothers someone, they'll edit it.  That's what wikis are for.

Oh, and the Britishisms I saw were in the surrounding text, not Aguilera's quotes, so if one assumes this is a write-up from a British magazine/fanzine of some sort, it's perfect.
