Well, that certainly answers some of the questions that we raised in Ballistic.

It certainly does.
(I can't even convey how bad I feel for Lau right now. That is a sucky, sucky place to be.)

Oh, I'm a mushy ball of mush right now. Lau just (finally) got through to me big time... nothing like having something in common to create sympathy, I guess. I find that I want, very badly, for her to learn next season how to be a little less bulletproof.

i feel bad for the ptb, re-living the Chaz post-trauma days all summer from a multitude of perspectives. it's gotta' be heartwrenching, even for extremely talented authors who've mastered the trick of detachment from the characters they write. (i only say this because each of the dvd extras has been touching andc well written.)
i hope the ptb are spending a little time out & about having fun and that they are not obsessing too terribly on the sad-bad stuff.

Soooooo .... We've now had nine vignettes about Chaz in the hospital. And, with one exception, every member of the team has shown up at least once. In fact, a couple of folks who aren't on the team have made appearances - Drs. Frost and Srinivasan. The exception, alas, is "Cowboy" Daniel Brady. If he ever visited Chaz in the hospital, it was when Chaz was unconscious ( http://cvillette.livejournal.com/68513.html?thread=1956769#t1956769). Daphne suggested that whatever it was wasn't about Chaz - but we haven't yet seen what it was about. I guess those sneaky PTB are going to keep us on eleventerhooks waiting. Hopefully they'll resolve this before Season 2 starts.

DEpending on when in the timeline Season Two starts. I'll admit that (until just this moment) I was thinking that the series would be running in "Buffy Time", where each season starts with the characters getting back in September and making vague references to what they did on their summer vacations. (A tiny bit of thought indicates that this may not be the best model for a series about grownups who work year-round.)
We know Chaz was at the WTFBBQ, and I suspect Brady was, as well. The only real reporting of that even happened from Daphne, who was distracted from her usual incisive incisiveness. It could be the matter was dealt with there. It could be that both Chaz and Brady, being who they are, both pretended there was no matter to resolve. Or (my theory) it could be that the matter itself was not mentioned, but Brady managed to let Chaz know that whatever happened or didn't happen, it had nothing to do with him being mad at Chaz.

Well, since it happened at his house, I'd guess so. Brady was also at Daphne and T.'s engagement party, so it's not like he's avoiding Chaz completely outside of work.

It's possible to go to a party at somebody's house and not talk to them beyond the most formulaic of politenesses.

Poor Lau. It was a really good/nice touch for Hafs to invite her along to help. Although a part of me wonders what support Hafs felt like she needed.
And let's not get into the hints that WW didn't chase down, because she wasn't willing to let herself wimp out, even with a tasty Cluetm dangled in front of her.
Also, much love for the description of the range itself, and the reasons why WW likes it. *applauds*

Such avoidance seems unlikely in a room full of profiley goodness.
UNLESS, of course, all parties are willing to ignore what is perfectly obvious. And Brady and Chaz win the top too spots as Most Likely To Ignore Emotional Uncomfortableness.
EXCEPT, mind you, that Brady is a Good Guy, and would tend to answer the unasked question (while never acknowledging that there was a question), as least as far as providing reassurance goes.
PROVIDED, of course, that....
Rats. Dropped my scorecard. Now we'll never know.

Rereading a few things today and thinking about Brady not visiting Chaz in the hospital. Considering that Brady is supposedly a very talented profiler and crime scene analyst... after seeing the farmhouse "crime scene" could he have realized what happened and perhaps is concerned that Chaz hasn't told anyone or does not want to confront Chaz about it yet?
