I think we must've posted at just about the same time. Oops.

Yay!
Now to somehow work finishing my lj setup into the next day-point-five, before I head off to non-internet land for the weekend.
Thanks be to the Powers That May Or May Not Be for Beta-healing, modern medicine, and authorial relenting.

Yay!
I'm really hesitant to comment on it, because it's like "uh, who are you? how'd you find me?" And I'm not good at finding a cover story. What do y'all think?

Just say you were poking around Bear's friendsfriends page and got sucked in by the recipes.

Say you found him through someone mentioning his recipes? Or surfing friends' friends? ...The fourth wall here is a really weird thing.

I'm working on my cover story as well, although I'll almost certainly surprise myself when the time comes to actually type it.
I was thinking of "I know txanne from a tv show fangroup, and was worried about her smooth-talking bbq-eating internet friend"...

Ooh, recipes. Good call. I don't suppose they go through and do the profile f-list check to see if there are matches. (That's what I usually do when I get a random commenter.)
And lord knows if he'll even ask, eh? Could do, or not, right?

I'm not worried about him ever asking how I found him. I've noticed people very rarely do on LJ.

True, but I always feel weird barging into somebody's commentspace without a word of introduction.

I've never seen him (or Harpy or Wabbit, for that matter) ask how people found them. If asked, I'd just say something about it starting with Chaz's recipes. Chaz was on metaquotes once, too. So far. He should be again. *g*

True, but I always feel weird barging into somebody's commentspace without a word of introduction. I do, sometimes. Though it's like, unless I'm going through a community link (eg metafandom), they can click the user info button and say "oh, she's friends with FOO" if they're that interested. It depends on context, I guess? I usually just hide in my little corner of LJ, though.
