I think it would be useful for each episode to have a direct link to the next episode at the end.

Ditto that. Also a link to the tip jar, so you can get my money while I'm feeling satisfied. Also, some leading, pretty pretty please?

All good ones--thank you! Part of our job over hiatus will be to make upgrades and refinements to the site, so we'll refer to this thread when we do.

I have a request. Due to upper management's passing the buck, we've recently lost internet access at work on our desktops, reducing me to my poor not so adorable phone's web browser. Would it be possible to get a mobile friendly version of the episodes? The web designer would know better than I, but I believe you can set alternate CSS instructions based on browser? The current version of the page has three bars running vertically down the whole length of the article. Tho it might be just my browser, and if it works ok for other people, don't worry about it. I'll still read

How about a printer-friendly version, for people who get migraines and can't read novels on computer screens?

Seconded! I have a friend who I want very badly to get into Shadow Unit -- and her husband wants her to, too -- but who has trouble reading long-form stuff on screen.

Two things we are thinking seriously about: podcasts and pdfs. Don't expect either this week, though!

Well, gosh, it's not like you guys are busy or anything. All I expect this week is to be blown away by the story. And you haven't let us down yet. (My fandom trusts the writers.)

Copy and paste into word, then print. I copy and paste so I can read in a more comfortable format, plus it lets me read at work a bit more over breaks without staying logged in the entire time.

If you're using Firefox and a Mac, you can make yourself quite a handsome .rtf file by this method: Arrive at the page of the episode you want to print. From the Firefox menu bar, select View > Page source. With the Page source window open and visible, select "Save Page As," and give it a name. This will save the page source as an html document. Now you can use a converter application to turn that into a nicely formatted .rtf file. I use AlienConverter 3.2, available here, among other places: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/28736. There are converters available for Windows and Linux, too. Over the summer, we're going to be offering .pdfs and podcasts, too. Because no road trip is complete without the sort of story that makes you afraid to open your motel room door. *g*

That's a lot of trouble for readers to go through when someone just needs to add the following (or something similar) to the site's stylesheet: @media print { #header, #nav, #right, #playerdiv { display: none; } #content { float: none; width: 6.5in !important; margin: 0; } #content p { margin: 0; text-indent: 1.5em; line-height: 1.4; } }
