Just wondering about the timing here. "Ballistic" occurs in Sept. 2007. "Endgame" occurs around Halloween. From what we can tell from the LJs and the relevant Extra, the Salt Lake City case happens somewhere in the middle.
So is the SLC case just a cancelled episode, or will it still happen? And if it is going to happen, will we see clues about the after-effects in Endgame if we look hard enough?

Wasn't that the ep the network made them pull? I think I heard the basement scene leaked onto YouTube and there was a "what about the cheeeeeldrun" outcry. I don't remember the details, what with the job hunt and all. (Which makes me think it happened in late Feb, early March...)

It's a Missing Adventure. And at some point in the future, long after the show has been cancelled, a group of dedicated fans will make themselves over into tie-in writers, investigate the backstory, notice this very thing, and give us a novel about it. Which will not be anywhere near as good as the episode will have been, but by that stage we'll be so desperate for anything SU related that we'll squee madly over it anyway. ...Um, sorry, I think I just projected Doctor Who fandom all over SU about twelve years in advance... ~goes away~

Yeah. I know someone who knows someone whose cousin lives over the road from someone who is on the same forum as someone who says they've seen it the whole thing. Maybe pirate copies will change hands on ebay in the months to come?

Do you know if they'd finished all the editing and SFX and stuff?

Almost the whole caboodle - pre final edit I think. They reckon it is running a minute or so over, so there might be a couple of scenes in there that wouldn't make it to the screen - something about Chaz and a yard long sub I think.

You think Beto ever actually eats when he's not at work? By season seven, that kid is going to have Food Issues. I bet he just skips meals all hiatus.

Poor guy. I bet they all work hard to make sure the eating scenes get done first take. But it's really cool the way there's always _something_ on his and Vivian's desks. And have you noticed? Half the time when she's waving her hands in a computer-magic kind of way, she's got powdered sugar on her fingers! I love my show!

It probably wouldn't be so bad if they didn't have to stay so damned painfully thin for the roles. Though I notice Chaz eats a LOT of vegetables, and Hafs is more often waving the food around than eating it. Still, that thing they did with Chaz jamming the entire cruller into his mouth so it accordion-folded, like the reptile people in V eating guinea pigs... that was pretty damned cool.

Daphne: You can do this. You just have to stand up on it.
Chaz: Can't.
Daphne: Stand up on it, damn you.
Chaz: On belay?
Daphne: Belay on.

Chaz also eats off-camera a lot, I've noticed. Sometimes, when they're at a meal, all of his food vanishes gradually throughout the scene...without us ever actually seeing him take a bite.

I think Beto must shove it all into his napkin while the other characters are having Important Moments. *g*
