Ed's post? I don't see any post. Is this one of those "hysterical blindness" things?

If you're lucky.

On a more-general slash front, I don't think of slash with these characters because, well, they're PEOPLE.  It would be rude.  Slash is for fictional characters who don't really exist.

Oh, ye fortunate one who hath been sheltered from real-person slash.

(I had a bad experience while putting together an issue of the Criminal Minds newsletter.  I don't think I've recovered.)

Many so-called real poeple (actors, politicians, famous and historical people) are less real than the SU team.  Apparently, real people have inferior writers.

Also, my condolences on the slash.

Actually, that particular bad experience was het -- Kirsten/Shemar -- and part of the creepiness was the people in the comments trying to handwave the fact that Kirsten Vangsness is engaged to a woman.

Well, mostly people write real-person fic about people they've never interacted with.  This is not the case with SU people.

I wrote real person slash once (or twice I guess). Both were written at the table at Perkins late one night. Both were for guy friends who were also at the table. They were very, very brief: one was a limerick, one was a pseudo-haiku (the type that really only just has the syllable count, but otherwise isn't a haiku). The four fellas involved were amused. (And finding a rhyme for "Madison" in a limerick is not easy, let me tell you.)

This same late night convo on real person slash led to the concept of RP slash involving former presidents, and furry RP slash, which led to someone posting Wombat Lincoln which led to this. Yeah, it was one of those nights.

Daphne: You can do this. You just have to stand up on it.

Chaz: Can't.

Daphne: Stand up on it, damn you.

Chaz: On belay?

 Daphne: Belay on.
