Though the contest has been won, the eggs are still hidden. If you want to hunt for them, DON'T CLICK THE LINKS IN THIS MESSAGE! But if, like me, you're happiest following behind the hunters and consuming the yummy eggs as they find them, this is the post for you! Here's where you'll find the 2008 Shadow Unit Easter Easter Egg Hunt chocolate bunny analogs: http://shadowunit.org/standoff.htmlhttp://shadowunit.org/gunmetal.htmlhttp://shadowunit.org/learntoswim.htmlhttp://shadowunit.org/caterpillar.htmlhttp://www.shadowunit.org/thirdbase.htmlhttp://shadowunit.org/oranges.htmlhttp://www.shadowunit.org/mumm-ra.htmlhttp://shadowunit.org/ringfinger.htmlhttp://shadowunit.org/frogs1.htmlhttp://www.shadowunit.org/plunger.htmlhttp://www.shadowunit.org/smf/index.php?topic=6.0http://shadowunit.org/pavement.htmlCongratulations to malthus25, spsethra5, alena, mathmusician, and kayjayoh, who were first to snag these babies. To the rest of you, happy reading, all!

If you're using Firefox - and if not, why not? - there's a plugin called 'Leet Key' which allows you to toggle text to and from ROT-13, amongst other things.

I'm about to make some site tweaks, and some of the egg links are going to go away (as well as the easter gif, alas). The eggs themselves will stay up, as well as the links Emma posted above.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I just discovered Shadow Unit last week and the boards this week. I'm in the process of reading everything so that I'm all caught up and won't always look like a complete newb when I post. Having these in an easy to find place sped up the process for me. I'll play the game next time, this time I just want to consume everything as quickly as possible. Yay!

This will definitely make me look stupid, but I had to look up ROT-13 (hooray for wikipedia!), because I had no freakin' idea what it was and what I was looking at in these posts. So, thank you for increasing my knowledge of internet-y goodness.

So, thank you for increasing my knowledge of internet-y goodness. Not stupid. You mostly have to have participated in ARGs (Alternate Reality Games) and the discussions about them to be familiar, although I think it turns up on the slightly more mainstream Making Light from time to time as well.

ROT13 has been in use in USENET discussions (now mostly accessible via Google Groups) since some time in the 80s, or earlier. Uphill. In the snow. Both ways.
I think it was also used on some BBS systems.
