Make that "fiancée," please. (Sue me, I'm a French teacher.) :-)

*why yes, I am grammar wanking in French, shoot me*
Actually, it's fiancé for the lad, and fiancée for the lady.
But now I am confused, as I coulda sworn Daphne currently has a girlfriend, so the previously-existing was-gonna-marry-her may have been of either gender. Was it specified in her bio? After all, it's legal to marry anybody in some of them northeastern parts.
But the grammar still applies. Even if nobody pays attention. Kind of like trees falling in the forest. On five tons of flax.

Tricia = Daphne's fiancée. I don't think they've formalized it, but they're definitely in it for the long haul. So yeah, "fiancée" is the word that's wanted here.

Still no civil union in VA... Hah. Originating state of - and defendant in - the aptly named Loving, the seminal Supreme Court case on anti-miscegenation laws? Not a chance, y'all.
