Woot! Congratulations!
Hear, hear! I hereby second this motion. Proving yet again that every topic about SU will sooner or later come around to food. And then back again, and again.

I don't have any congratulatory card made or bracelet strung, or anything. *wails* And she's going to be giving me a shoggoth, which in turn comes from the one Chaz sent her... (I think I'm going to name mine Georg, pronounced "Gey - org," accent on first syllable. Something northern European about this one. Or if that doesnt seem to suit, Gregor, from the Miles VorKosigan books:) (Also possibly from the Jane Haddam mysteries, which would make him Armenian.) *shrug* I've even got a nice new crock for him to make his home in. (Squeeeeeeee!!)

We should make a shoggoth family tree, and keep track of all WTFans' shoggoths.

"Why, Georg, I had no idea your children were so charming." --or something like that. It's been ages since I saw that movie.

I keep trying to start my own shoggoth. So far I have failed twice. I think my apartment may have been too cold. I will try again as the spring warms up. (As yet another thread comes round to food.)

Chaz: Can't.
Daphne: Stand up on it, damn you.
Chaz: On belay?
Daphne: Belay on.

Moving away from the food for the moment, did anyone else notice this in the 'Next Week on Shadow Unit' snippet? Music came from the back of the condo. One of their rules for being together was that Brady kept his love of country rock in his Mustang and his own apartment. We may be about to learn a little more... Of course, the PTB could be toying with us, again, and posting completely misleading trailers...wonder where they picked that one up from...

After all that, I was wandering through the LJs and saw this:
"And besides, you were just so darned cute last night. I can deny you nothing. (I think the Cowboy suffered some sort of critical damage to his sexual self-image, though. You were that convincing.)"
If you haven't been playing along, the "you" referred here was a female dressed as a (convincing) male, and Cowboy=Brady. And it was posted 3/1/08 by O. So Brady saw & liked, and then figured it was a gal (hence the damage to self image as a person who prefers gents). Or am I reading this wrong?

Oh, you mean the bagel conversation? http://0metotchtli.livejournal.com/7549.html...well, it's ambiguous. *g* But based on external evidence, I would say you are probably right. (The kids would never out their Cowboy on LJ. That would be rude.)

Nice catch there! I'd completely forgotten the crossing. But is it possible they hadn't caught on to Cowboy's sexuality, and thought he felt icked for scoping out a dude?
(And what am I, from the O.C. all of a sudden? I need to stop watching DVDs!)
