Well, here goes... This is my take on the kind of "blipvert" advertising that networks usually use to tease us with series slated for fall debuts. I did make a few assumptions, not the least of which is that it would debut on the same night of the week as Man from U.N.C.L.E. http://shadowunit.weare224.org/TeaserAlpha.mov

Nice! I've been working on something distressingly similar. How do you tilt the character pictures like that?

The network would never have just one teaser.

Alas. It won't play for me. Quicktime hates me.

I had to download it and run it from my local drive. Otherwise the caching went weird.

Sweet. I had to watch it twice. Simple, basic, but with a certain elegance.

Daphne: You can do this. You just have to stand up on it.
Chaz: Can't.
Daphne: Stand up on it, damn you.
Chaz: On belay?
Daphne: Belay on.

I use the Final Cut suite from Apple. I used Motion to place 2-d elements and then moved the camera around them in 3d space. Motion includes procedural animation behaviors, so the tumbling letters and the pulsing "nerve cells" are all built-in behaviors I just dropped in place.

It's the Chinese fire symbol. I have to admit that I used it as a placeholder- it should be a network logo or symbology specific to the show, but I couldn't think of anything appropriate.

That's actually pretty cool. I could see "The Fire Network". As new networks are formed, they are now having longer and longer names (Ah-la "Spike"). We can imagine that the Fire network is a network dedicated to showing police procedurals or something.
