I am disturbed by the sock dreams site.  I hopped over to check it out and found they had very evocative and almost erotic pictures of socks.

*shudders*

I didn't even know you could do that.

Wow, I never would have thought of it that way, though I guess since I'm a straighty mcstraight girl, I wouldn't have. I do like many of their photos from an aesthetic perspective. Now stockingirl.com is the one where even a straighty mcstraight like me has to fan myself a bit. Smiley

Daphne: You can do this. You just have to stand up on it.

Chaz: Can't.

Daphne: Stand up on it, damn you.

Chaz: On belay?

 Daphne: Belay on.

size one needles and Chaz's size 13 feet are ANNOYING!  i refuse to knit for them....

only finished 1 pair of socks, for myself...  to see if i could follow http://www.knitlist.com/2002/ToeUpSock.htm
i decided they needed a nice lace pattern and added vine lace (http://thewalkertreasury.wordpress.com/2007/03/23/vine-lace/) to the top of the foot and leg.  i love grey wool socks (wearing ll bean's most days).  i used the grey Cascade 220 on size 3 needles.  they looked lovely.  i learned to do a picot edging.

then i washed them.  oops.  they somewhat felted.

Now i have some washable sock yarn on needles, but it's not grey wool!  I am not into it.  knitting is a pain, you kinda' feel that just because you could conceivably knit the garment, you should not buy one.  Scarves, hats, mittens, gloves, socks and now sweaters!  argh.

i LOVE sock dreams.....  that is so cool!  eroticism or no, i want all the socks.
