This was my sunset view about an hour ago: And to think our drive had melted clear last week! Proper spring not expected until maybe the end of this week, at best...

It was drab gray most of the day here, with varying amounts of snow coming down and flurrying about. Never below the nuisance threshhold, but fortunately I had indoor stuff to do today anyway. Considering we only get an average 4-5 months outdoor growing season here, I'd really appreciate a little less new snowfall this time of year...

Gorgeous today, after three straight days of dreary gray but no rain, wind, or thunder to make things interesting.
It's still very weird. This time of year we are usually dealing with heavy flooding, but with all the snow melted over a month ago (and very little snow this year at all), the river is lower and weather dryer than I have seen it in the past ten years of living where I do.

Some places in central Finland have had close to a foot of fresh snow since Friday night. Not exactly what we expect to see in April, I can tell you. Thankfully, we've only had about 4 inches or so.
ETA: This time last year there was no snow left to speak of, except perhaps some remnants of major piles in thoroughly shaded spots.

We had sunshine, and highs in the 40's. Time to break out the shorts and sandals.

We had two back-to-back days over 20C (a rarity in Scotland), and snow for the past two days.

...I will be using that term. Alas, I can't claim it. It was off a BBC Horizon documentary about how weather extremes have gotten more extreme lately. Droughts in Texas, extreme winters in the UK, stuff like that. Don't Google the term, though, as it's all denialists, and so very depressing

I'm in Yorkshire. Last week I was sat out in the garden in the sunshine. Today I woke up to 1 1/2 inches of snow. UK ha d a dry warm March, so much so that some of the water supply companies are worried about their stocks.

First 100 F day here today. Not too many days since the daytime highs were in the 60s, about what the nighttime lows are now.

April showers apparently bring freezing rain and snow in some areas.
(What does that rhyme with, anyway?)

Easier to find a rhyme for "wintery mix"?
Lovely upper-Midwest spring here, with its characteristic what-the-hell-outerwear-do-I-put-on-today qualities. The peonies are almost knee-high, and a lot of unidentified growing things have appeared in beds around the back yard. I hope none of them are flesh-eating, and if they are, that they'll be satisfied with the squirrels.

Had a thunderstorm that cooled things off a bit, and we haven't gotten above the mid nineties again.
