Keep an eye on http://magick4terri.livejournal.com/, an auction to raise money for editor/writer/artist/mythic arts booster Terri Windling. Because included in this auction is a piece of Shadow Unit merch that nobody but the PTB and its creator has seen before, and it could be YOURS, ALL YOURS!

(It's not up at the auction site yet. But it will be. Keep watching the electrons...)

For more info on Terri and why she's important to all of us, check out my LiveJournal entry: http://coffeeem.livejournal.com/191127.html

You can also follow the auction on Facebook: (http://www.facebook.com/magick4terri) and on Twitter (hashtags #MagickMonday and #magick4terri).

One of my wire-wrapped necklaces may go up; need to get photos taken and figure out pricing. (That second one is the harder... *wry*)

Set a moderately-low to moderate minimum bid; people are more likely to bid up to an item's worth, I've found. If you set a high minimum bid, people hesitate to start the bidding, even if they'd be inclined to spend that much for it anyway.

The DDOS attacks are annoying me greatly. I wanted to bid on things today... /whine.

I second this!

And I third.  I posted a bid (or attempted to do so, I walked away while the browser claimed it was "connecting") and when I checked back hours later, after tending to things that needed tending, it had posted... but the timestamp on my post was about 7 hours after I had clicked "submit".

My bid is now gone; someone else also bid my amount on the item, and their bid registered before LJ accepted mine.  I might as well not even have tried.  *sob*

When I get back from my travel, I'll post something, probably a crocheted afghan, to the auction.

Will more than one be available (with different numbers, of course)?

(was too crashy for jewelry photos; must do tomorrow. And thanks for the advice, Emma - I'm thinking of a starting price that's a bit over cost of materials only, with maybe a buy-it-now of double that. Still thinking...)

Okay, I've now got three items - a necklace and two bookmarks. Do I list them here, or...?

Are they posted on the LJ auction? If so, we can just look for anything listed with you as seller. Or you could post links to them here, which would make it extra-easy for us Deltas and PTBs to find 'em...

Or I could do both... same name there as here.  Wink

(also, is LJ being difficult today? pictures aren't showing - and they're in my LJ gallery or whatever it's called, not linked from another site like Flickr. ) (Flickr pictures are http://www.flickr.com/photos/glinda_w/6439259417/in/photostream/ for the tree bookmark, http://www.flickr.com/photos/glinda_w/6439259597/in/photostream/ for the turtle bookmark, and http://www.flickr.com/photos/glinda_w/6439259185/in/photostream/ for the necklace.)

Yep--today's DDOS attack is causing pictures not to post to the site. Which is especially annoying in the case of this auction. Phooey.

At least it's not something *I've* done wrong.

*thinks about adding a link to the photo on Flickr for each one*

Three things from me are going live in the auction tomorrow, most likely.

One's a Haiku Earring Party in a Box.
One's an experimental sash/hatband/whatever ornament, and it has a really cool vintage brass stamping of a stag.
One's a custom piece to be done in person, with you picking the beads and sitting with me and chatting as I build the piece.
