Well, since I read "The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making" I became an addict of Catherynne Valente's fiction: I'm a language geek, and she writes a very rich fare- at the time I read Palimpsest and <a href="

To date(I've been subscribed for over 2 years) I can think of maybe 2 stories I didn't like. I heartily recommend it: it held me together more then once.
I'm an Omikuji Project member too. She's hoping people will get the word out about it, because the level of subscribership has dropped (bad, bad economy! no biscuit!), and she's worried about being able to keep it going. So do tell people about it, yeah?
It's pretty awesome. I took a pile of Omikuji Project letters with me to my first appointment at Mayo, the one that unexpectedly turned into hospitalization, and I was so glad I had them with me to read. (I figured they'd be the right size for waiting room waits, but couldn't decide which to bring, so I jammed about twenty of them into my bag. Fortuitous. I told her about it later, and said how much it helped, and she said it was like being able to be there by my bed and read me a story when I was sad and needed something like that.)
