DILUTE! DILUTE!

Can't help hearing that in a Dalek voice...

Hope this gets resolved positively soon!

DILUTE! DILUTE!

Oh, thanks so much. Now I'm earworming (and adding part of verse):

     I have a tattoo
     It adorns me

[sorry, blanking on what the next two lines should be, but:]

     Tattoo says "DILUTE!"
     Shoggoth goes Tekeli-li.

Are you kidding? Given the amount of text on the Dr. Bronner's label, it would have to be EVERYWHERE.

ALL-ONE-GOD-FAITH! DILUTE! DILUTE!

Makes me remember camping up at the Winnipeg Folk Festival, it does, and doing dramatic readings off the labels.

I'm not sure it's possible to do a non-dramatic reading of that label.

dunno, I knew a couple of people who could make even Macbeth sound dry. Those labels can't be that much of a challenge after that.

OK, I have a sort of an update, but not a full one.  I'm not spreading it far and wide yet, either, because I'm sufficiently tense/grumpy that having general speculation on the whole thing would drive me plaid, so please do not crosspost, all right? I'm not going to get huffy if word spreads, but don't help spread it, ok? Thanks.

So far, we are still in the land of many question marks, but there are several extremely favorable developments. One is puzzling as heck, and I'm still not sure I trust it, but we shall see. The other is good but frustrating in its own way.

Development one, which is a very good thing if true, and I sure hope it is:  Mayo says I do NOT at this point have Crohn's disease.   (!!!)  There's a little bit of back-and-forthing to be done yet between my gastroenterologist here (who saw my scopes several years ago and said it was Crohn's) and the gastroenterologist there, but I will say that I haven't had Crohn's symptoms for a little while and that being off the meds I used to take for it is not producing huge ill effects so far.

Development two, which is great but has me frustrated about why I was put in the situation in the first place: the meds I was being given for blood pressure were apparently making me sick, messing with my kidneys, and causing a situation where my blood pressure got worse and my heart rate sped up.  I'm off those meds now. My heart is behaving very nicely. My blood pressure was a little bit up today, but given that I was in the emergency room having a chunk of glass removed from my foot (I know, I know, it was supposed to be a weekend off from medical-fu, but this bit of what looked to be a dragon's baby tooth decided the sole of my foot was its true home...) I can forgive a bit of a rise in blood pressure, you know? And even so, it was only 160-something over 80-something, which for me is very very good comparatively. The frustrating part? WHY THE HECK WAS I ON THEM FOR SO LONG, and WHY DID THE DOSE GET DOUBLED A YEAR AGO INSTEAD OF REDUCED? (A dear friend is strongly advising me to get a different GP. I am thinking on this.)

So that's the haps. I'll probably go post a bit in my LJ about it, too.  Still to come: meeting with the nephrologist/hypertensionist tomorrow to discuss my kidneys and blood pressure (which I hope stay happy), meeting with the gastroenterologist again, and meeting in November with the rheumatologist (which we hope will result in a "no, no lupus, really" conversation). I'm doing my best to stay positive-minded while not going all tra-la-la-everything-is-fine, but really, things are looking much better than they could be and I am very glad about that.

(Meds making me sick. Sheesh. Meds raising my blood pressure, when they were supposed to lower it. Which presumably had a great deal to do with the stroke. Sheesh squared.)

I hear your "sheesh squared", but I got to say these are promising question marks. Fingers tightly crossed for you.

Holy freakin' everything! I'm putting forth some intense prayers and wishes with you in them. Oh, if only this process didn't have to take so long; that right there is probably a bit of a blood pressure booster.

Thanks for the update!

Good luck with the question marks.

And I can certainly understand why you'd be considering changing your GP.  I changed mine after worrying about hurting the previous one's feelings, and found a huge (and positive!) difference in my experience and treatment.

These sound like moderately good question marks right there. I hope they get even better.

Stupid, fabulous drugs. What would we do without medicine? Then again, oh, to be without it! Definitely a good update-- keep 'em coming!

That sounds like a reasonably positive set of developments, at least there's more knowledge than there was.

OTOH having just had a specialist diagnose my neck problems as 'Well, something's clearly not right," I can well understand the frustration of not being able to get rid of a question mark or to!
