Looks like I'll be in your neck of the woods for a day or two on my way to World Fantasy at the end of October.

Anyone want to hang out?  Smiley

I suspect the answer to that will be "Hell yes!" ;-)

I expect you could get University Bookstore to sponsor a reading/signing if you wanted to do such a thing.

edited to remove suggestion of The Night Kitchen since MG just announced that they've had to close  Cry

That.

(I didn't get there even *once* this year. *sob*)

(bloody damned absence of Social Security increases for two years in a row, and having my medication co-pays quadruple, with the addition of two new meds. (And yeah, they're generics.))

You're lucky. You got to eat there. I will have to rely on stories as my finances didn't allow for crossing the Atlantic.

I feel extremely lucky in that I and a couple of my gongfu brothers all ended up there after my sister's final show in Seattle... and of course we went into the other room (the one with the button) and MG was there, as well as various other friends, and while I stayed up far too late for someone with an early flight the next morning*, it wa a pretty awesome evening. And the food rocked, but that almost goes without saying.

But lucky or not, I'm really, really sad.

* Seriously, when my host in Oakland tweeted the next day about how he and I had spent all this time talking dharma, my first thought was "we did?"
