I've read through it a few times this week and I'm still trying to get a handle on how the form fits with the overall story arc (if you will). This is the first time we've seen anything this comprehensive from The Future and I'm wondering, I really am, if this is what Hafida would have considered to be his betrayal or if there's something more behind this that we should be waiting for.

Oooh. Ooooooooh. I have to go think about that possibility some more.

So, this episode does very strongly imply that Todd spends part of 2014 writing a book about the anomaly for public consumption. It's unclear whether this is something that follows its declassification, or whether Todd is going rogue/whistle-blowing. It's also unclear, in the latter case, how many allies he has on that front - it's definitely implied that Chaz is supportive of the book project, but we don't know that about anyone else. (That said, both Reyes and Lau are known to disapprove of Celentano's secrecy policy pretty vigorously.)

Series finale drops in six episodes, in October 2013. It seems reasonable to assume that the series will continue to stay pretty close to realtime, and so the finale will be set in late 2013. It also seems reasonable to assume that the finale will involve the gammavore somehow, given that it's named for The Thing That Eats T. rexes.

I'd be *extraordinarily* surprised if whatever drives official declassification or Todd whistleblowing is not also a significant plot thread in the remaining six episodes (six episodes! only six! I weep.)

So my question is, how do these plot threads intertwine? It seems really unlikely to me that they don't - there's just not enough time left in the series for that.

Other running plots that seem like they intend to be resolved: the evolving working model of anomaly contagion/progression, and the hints about someone else on the team going gamma. How might these fit in?

I did notice that Todd took steps to squash my theory that Danny's scene-reconstruction gift is preternatural.  Dunno if that earns him a down-vote as potential gamma or not.

I do think the alpha-beta-gamma model is too simplistic, though. The addition of "second-stage beta" is merely the start, what with partial immunities, non-psychotic gamma, and the like.

"Danny, that's good," his mother said, sounding strange and strained and cautious. "What's--"

"His name's Grayson. He works for the State Department."

I came to this topic to see whose voice was first person in this episode, it just wasn't obvious to me.
My rationale was that Todd and Reyes were pretty solidly off the team.
I was trying to figure out who the mystery new member was...

So I see the above posters taking it for granted that it was Todd.

Oh well.  Fun read in any case - thanks Bear
