My first instinct is to guess that this episode will be Nikki-centric.

But that's probably too obvious for our beloved PTB.

I would guess it's about Nikki and about being bulletproof and Nikki not really being bulletproof and about why Nikki feels she has to be bulletproof, and about a gamma or situation that serves as a metaphor for the whole bulletproof thing.

Then, for extra points, a "bulletproof" song or movie reference, because limiting things to just half-a-dozen meanings is overly restrictive.

Okay: "Bulletproof" premieres one month from today. Commence speculation!

Well, jimsmyth, you're the only one so far to share your speculations in this thread. It is Autumn! I am Awake! I crave Action from my fandom!

Theory to inspire countertheory about Bulletproof, which is mine.  By Jim's Myth.

A Bulletproof is very narrow.... no wait.

Bulletproof is about Duke manifesting his gammability to be, well, bullet-proof.  Nothing smaller than an exploding shell can pierce his skin.  He uses this ability to travel from city to city, promoting his latest book.  At night, under cover of darkness, he secretly works on the next one, unless he's out with some groupies at this cool little club that they know about.

It would be interesting if Bulletproof were about Nikki interacting with Renee. Because Renee has, in her own way, made herself very, very safe... and by doing so isolated herself pretty horribly. Interesting room for contrast... but kind of straightforward for our PTB.

Straightforward until Lau shoots the invisible Renee white diverting someone else's gun into 'empty' space, and the two of them have to figure out hot to keep Renee memorable long enough to get sufficient medical treatment.  Throw in the theory that she and Renee have been talking for a while, add the possibility that repeated exposures have not been good for her brain, and season to taste.

Dang.  Still needs a dash of "take a bullet for" someone.  How could I have forgotten?

Nikki then saves Reyes from a bureaucratic catastrophe with an elegant and finely crafted PowerPoint presentation, blissfully free of bullet lists.

Watches episode raptly.

Turns off TV.

Goes to bed.

Hopes the ECR will be better in the morning.

(You know how men are about emotions.)

Thanks for the chicken, PTB.
