And then once you've got him in the van, you shoot him full of sedative.

Containment almost worked using just Nikki, throw a sack over his head and that might be all you need.

Reyes is probably kicking himself that this one got away (for certain values of got away), but they didn't have full knowledge going into the snatch and not being able to hang onto him was one of the things they hadn't worked out. More of the team or more cops might have made it work, but might also have blown the ambush.

I don't think anyone has raised it, but this is two arrests that have blown up in the team's face in a row, with three dead. That isn't going to help Reye's reputation with the people pulling Celentano's strings.

A bit late, but since no one's commented on this yet:

"The Benedictine Monks hadn't made it past 'Media vita' before Lau had pulled over to the curb of the winding shady road and thumbed the green button on her phone. 'Hey, Chaz. Whatcha got?'"

Nikki's ring tone for Chaz is "Media vita in morte sumus."  Full English text, courtesy of Wikipedia:

"In the midst of life we are in death: of whom may we seek for succor, but of thee, O Lord, who for our sins art justly displeased? Yet, O Lord God most holy, O Lord most mighty, O holy and most merciful Saviour, deliver us not into the bitter pains of eternal death."

Sing, then, for this is also sooth.
