Most certainly.

(We shall not inform Mr. Pages of the existence of Shadow Unit, as it would certainly classify our beloved content as Proscribed Material.)

I don't think so.

On the other hand, the reason I signed up for Twitter was specifically to play Echo Bazaar. And there's nothing stopping one from creating Twitter accounts under pseudonyms1.

What's Echo Bazaar, Precious?

Echo Bazaar is a browser-based game where you explore Fallen London:

Quote
1889

Three decades ago, London was stolen by bats. Dragged deep into the earth by the Echo Bazaar. The sun is gone. All we have is the gas-light of Mr Fires.

But Londoners can get used to anything. And it's quiet down here with the devils and the darkness and the mushroom wine. Peaceful.

But then YOU arrived.

Welcome. Delicious friend.

You play by making various choices in "storylets", as shown here.

The fun isn't so much the gameplay as it is finding out about the deliciously twisted vision of Alternate London.

I played for a while, but I got into a section that was very grindy - by which I mean I had to go through various storylets over and over again to get my stats up to the stage where I could reach new content.  Or perhaps I missed something obvious, and there was actually something better for me to be doing.  Anyway, I kind of drifted away.

However, up until that point it was very entertaining.  You can play in little bursts, which is good, and the writing is very atmospheric.

Daphne: You can do this. You just have to stand up on it.

Chaz: Can't.

Daphne: Stand up on it, damn you.

Chaz: On belay?

 Daphne: Belay on.
