In the interest of kicking off speculation with one week to go before airtime1, I recall the following Bear-isms from a couple of months back:

New episode first Sunday in August.

It's 4x00, "Walking Back to Houston," a Very Special Episode.

Shot early in the run of the show, and never aired due to a presidential speech, it's now being aired out of order to cover a contract dispute.

For anyone who is experiencing conflicted emotions regarding "Walking Back to Houston:"

An episode shot before Cam left the show is likely to have her character in it. We believe that our fans are responsible adults, and capable of negotiating and mediating their own media consumption.

We provide this data point for their use in making informed decisions.

--the mgmt

I'm going to guess that (a) the contract dispute doesn't actually involve Cam and that (b) "Walking Back to Houston" is set well before Daphne's death in June.

Of course, our PTB are renowned for their tricksiness. So take any of my guesses with the proverbial grain of salt. Or possibly several pounds of salt.

1Assuming, of course, the WTF doesn't preempt it again for a sporting event, breaking news story or political blathering.

I thought the German team did particularly well.  A pity about the incident that spoiled it all...

It was rather a blood-curdling disaster for the Scots, wasn't it?

They were robbed, seriously.  But at least we now know what's worn under the kilt*...

Who would preempt your birthday?  That would be cruel.

The Anomaly may be cruel, but the Fandom is cruller. Because we like to maximize pun.

And food.
