Hi, y'all,
This is kinda tangential, I guess but... I've started reading Chaz's LJ entries to get caught up and wonder.... Is there a way to read LJ entries with the comments and go directly to the next entry? I've been going to "archive" to select a day, then clicking on comments once the entry opens. The only way I know to move forward in time is to go back to the original entry and click on "next day." I'm not the most technologically advanced sort, being a terribly linear thinker, so I'm going to appreciate all the help you can give me. Thanks! Lucia B

Yes! Go to the first entry you want to start from, and go to the page where the entry and comments are visible. When you've finished reading, scroll all the way to the top, and below the userpic but above the tags and title is a little gray bar with buttons on it. Two of the buttons are arrows, and they'll take you forward or back. The arrow pointing right is the next entry, pointing left is the previous one.

Though they say their journals are friends only, they're not. It's part of the "fourth wall" that they can't see. When an entry contains confidential information, they simply won't notice if you've left a comment, nor will anyone else see it: they screen all the comments that appear.
In a case where an entry is friends locked, you'll get an annoying message telling you that you can't read the entry, and you'll have to go to the archives, find the date you stopped at, and find the next day with a public entry.
In regards to friend lists and such, I believe they've only added a few people to their flists. The authors, each other, and people who have interacted with them a lot, through comments. So you should be able to read everything, even if they don't add you as a friend.

Unless they're Duke, of course. He's got two entries visible in the calendar, but they're not available when you click on them. Cagey boy probably has 'em on a SooperSekrit filter.

I think that they are most likely reference materials for the authors who are writing his coments/posts. He is, after all, the most complicated of the characters so far, with his inconsistent stories and all. Probably the F-locked posts are nothing more than notes as to what he has said and where, so that they don't have to go digging through a ton of comments to try and remember what he has already said.
