This might be the place to note I did a small offering at the stone circle at Faerieworlds- whereupon (1) the band onstage kicked into what may be my favorite rockingest version of Tam Lin ever (2) I looked over one shoulder to see a bald eagle circling the festival and (3) I looked over the other shoulder to see a para-sailer circling the site the other direction.
I stood up, started to tear up and was approached by a passerby. Who apologised if he was intruding or anything but he was a retired fireman and I looked a little distressed.
And I said 'First responder instinct, I understand. Thank you. I'll be all right.'
Signs and portents fall under a sub-clause of that thing we don't believe in, yeah?
