Yer hired. Basically, once you have your superpowers, when you click on a member's name, you should see the options to "Ban" and "Delete" in the left hand column. When we find a spammer, we ban, then we delete. (and go ahead and ban on IP. Sometimes you can get two or three at one blow that way.) We try to make sure new people aren't just shy. Some indications of a real person: they have logged in more than once, for more than a minute or two. They have posted something that's useful. Their photo is not a model or actor. They link to a website that's somebody's home page and not a site selling narcotics. *g* I see the spammer, but when I click on its profile I don't see any bannination options. |

Hi, Bear...Just noting that it might be useful (I don't know if you've actually done this or not) to have round the clock coverage. This seems to be a particularly nasty barrage, since I'm seeing evidence of it every time I've hopped in today. I trust your judgment on whether you have enough, and of divers locale. But if you find you need more, my hours are odd these days, and I'm wiling to join in. |
