Okay, so I know some of you get to attend things like conferences (lucky delta-ducks).  And others of you are on the bluer side of the oceans.  And he is not one of our beloved ptb.  And I didn't even really like "Coraline" (the book; didn't see the movie). But I have liked some other stuff. And I've listened to him talk about the role of fantasy in a great podcast. So if anybody is going to be nearby, I'll meet you there.  Heck, I'll chauffeur you around town. Plenty of room: 6-passenger Mazda which is indigo blue, not purple, thank you!

I've already got my ticket! Who's with me?

Cass.

Did you just say that 4th street is that weekend?! But I've got the kids... brain is now scrambling madly to figure out how to join you!

Tickets: just call Ticketmaster http://www.ticketmaster.com/venue/49449 and give them the info: St Paul, Neil Gaiman.  It's general admission, so you don't need to worry about choosing a good seat until you get there.  Where are you coming in from?  Are you familiar with the cities?  Do you need a ride?  Message me if you like.

This is definitely the best Mother's Day gift I ever gave myself  got.

I'll even supply some Old Dutch potato chips and Old Home dip!

Okay, I admit I hadn't looked at the 4th street details since I didn't think I could justify the cost.  But: ptb and ptb and delta and delta and pal of ptb and Pat Wrede?!?  Must. Find. Childminder.

We're gonna have fun.

I wish the traffic cam near the Fourth Street hotel was working. I want to see if any of the reported debris from the tornado was from the hotel.

The camera is either malfunctioning or missing entirely. Bother.

Probably things are fine, though.

I'm paid up for Friday's Writer's Seminar (oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my); still working on childminder for Saturday.  Because, oh my gosh, Emma & Will too?! How can I just sit around 20 miles away? I can't. There must be somebody I went to high school with 20 years ago. Or maybe an ex-in-law...
