I wonder how much of this will be available next time I make it out to Seattle...?

(Also, MG, remember that 18th century statue I was so in love with? Now I have a place to put it...)

Depends on when that is, doesn't it?

In theory, I could go down and see if it's still there. In theory. *sigh*

Most likely early August. Possibly sooner.

I shouldn't... well, unless maybe the IRS gets around to paying me the money they owe me...

Trinker's nailed why this is the best fandom ever.

Also, food.

This, twice!

Hush puppies! Poutine (veggie!)! Curse you, Mad Gastronomer--why am I not in Seattle right this second?

(BTW, speaking of food, the spring menu has arrived. We've got stuff I haven't even tried yet, as I've been down sick with pneumonia. But it sure does sound good, doesn't it?)

Pneumonia? Oh dear ghods. *hugs and sympathy*

(Is the thing for Cat Valente still on next Sunday night? I may have a bit more cash than I'd expected...)

Because Geography is an evil genius trying to keep you apart from my food, of course.

Thanks.

Alas, the Deathless dinner has been canceled. I've been sick all through the crucial time I needed to be making final arrangements, plus there have been Upsets at work (all of which worked out well, but which lost me prep time). I don't know if I could have pulled it off with either one of these problems, but with both, it absolutely cannot go on. And I am pretty depressed about it.

I'm sorry. Understandable, the depressed about it thing. (I'm there right now for other reasons, see my LJ post for details. Or not.)

It's Deathless, there's all Eternity to find an opportunity for a second try at the pudding....

I can understand the frustration and the depression, but the research is squirreled away in the corner of your Mad Gastronomic Brain, where it can fester (okay, not normally a word associated with cookery, but hey, Deathless!) until it finds an outlet to manifest itself.

It bubbles ominously, mostly. Maybe I can do it next time Cat gets to town. Tongue

The next thing the Mad Gastronomy Brain is plotting is a Mad Science Cocktails Party, in June, a fundraiser for NARAL Pro-Choice.
