Aw, man. I sure hope there's something in Eddie that appreciates this. Even if he never says it.

I wonder ... how long until Chaz and/or Daphne run into Dice at Infernal? (Assuming, of course, that they still go a-Gothing now that Hafidha is in Idlewood.)

Sure, Wednesday's usually a work night for industrious little Fibbies. But Our Heroes don't have what one might call a conventional nine-to-five assignment.

Damn. Dice cannot catch a break, can he?

(My fandom makes inarticulate supportive noises at fictional persons.)

Ed? I don't think it's the same kind of club Chaz and Daphs go to. It sounds like the kind of place that would make Chaz . . . uncomfortable. (I could be wrong, of course.)

And, yeah, oh, Dice.

I have no knowledge concerning Goth clubs (in DC or anywhere else), so I couldn't say one way or the other.

OTOH, we do know that Chaz has (at least once) gone clubbing somewhere where shagging a hottie in a plaid handkerchief skirt didn't get him thrown out.

That was at the 9:30 Club. I presume he didn't get caught.

Most of the places I've been or heard of with names like that where a guy could easily pick up a guy for quick rough sex, and to which most of the attendees wear primarily leather, have also had fairly prominent bondage equipment. ISTR that Chaz is not terribly comfortable with that.

I could be wrong about the implications of the very brief description, but that was what it sounded like to me.

Not so much uncomfortable--hard, in his line of work--as very firmly not interested.

I dunno why you think being a BAU agent would prevent him from feeling uncomfortable with bondage equipment. Since at work he would mostly see it used to torture people, not for consensual acts enjoyed by all participants. Not to mention putting him in a dark place where he would get bumped a lot and then reminding him of being chained to the floor sounds like a recipe for a panic attack, or at least a vivid nightmare later.

Most serial sexual sadists don't use commercially available sex toys--at least, not exclusively. They're generally not designed to the tolerances you'd need.

But a psychologist, especially a forensic one, needs a good working knowledge of human sexuality, especially the parts of it that can freak out the uninitiated--because the vast majority of people into bdsm are not anybody he needs to be concerned with, and it's part of his job to explain that to the freaked out. He also needs to be able to tell an autoerotic asphyxiation gone wrong from a ritual murder, among other things.

And Chaz doesn't, in particular, have trigger issues surrounding dark places, or crowds. We know he goes dancing to unwind, in fact.

But his kinks don't lean to leather and chains. So he's unlikely to be found in places catering to people whose kinks do.
