Thought of another one while waiting for OMGmoarCONTENT!
Brady is (or has been) trying to convince him that he ought to learn some personal self-defense.
Now that, I'd buy.

I'm with Sol on Daphne being "all grown up" as a cook. *sniffleglee* She made sure the roast had good contact, and knew where to put it! *happy*
And Reyes' quip at the end! bwahahahaha!
My PTB love me!

Ow-ow-ow that Hafidha's not there.
But how wonderfully awesome it was to see all the rest of the gang, having fun together.
(And things must be pretty good at the team level if Esteban can crack jokes about Celentano's hair.)

That was wonderful, and it was interesting to see the families together, though it did short of show up that for all the adults in the team there's a surprising lack of kids*, with only Es managing to bring up the American nuclear family. It makes me wonder if any of Reyes' marriages produced offspring, or whether there are any junior Sols scattered around the globe. On balance I suspect not, as neither is the type to slip away from paternal responsibilities, even if they'd probably come at them from completely opposite directions. *Okay, the getting of kids is complicated for the two same-sex couples, but not insurmountably so. Nor is Chaz going to reproduce short of medical intervention, come to think of it, and that's doubly difficult with a transcontinental relationship. Maybe it all comes down to the type of commitment to the work that the WTF requires. Maybe only Esther is sufficiently ruthless about shorting herself of me-time to manage to squeeze a family in past the demands of the job. Of more immediate personal concern, Coffeeem's intro over on LJ called this the 3rd WTF BBQ, and the only one I can remember is the first. Looking at the reading order page isn't helping, someone put me out of my misery with a pointer, please!

Well, Sol was speculating in, um, Unicorn Evils? that if he did have a kid he might not know about it, due to, you know, better living through chemistry how unsettled his life was through most of the sixties and seventies.
Someone should point out to Chaz that if he really wants a kid he can take in a foster child. Many of them are available for adoption.
ETA: I like that Gray plays guitar. And keeping it at Brady's house? Yah, that's gotten a bit more serious.

Chaz knows all about the foster system, remember? He's assuming that he'll die young, and he doesn't want to put a child through that.

Chaz doesn't want kids. He had a vasectomy very much on purpose. He doesn't even want other people's kids named after him -- he told me so once, when he first sent me a shoggoth and I asked if I might name it after him.

Huh. I thought he did that just because he really, really, really, about-8-more-reallys did not want to propagate the Relative's DNA.
