Hi, guys. Great to see you all here! Welcome to Shadow Unit. As you can see, we're still putting up the wallpaper and stuff: we hope you don't mind the decorating crews wandering around.

Is that pot of decaf fresh or do I need to dump it and put on a fresh one?

As long as you file the appropriate documentation, Agent. Fills out appropriate forms. Makes decaf. Puts up placecard by pot which reads "This is not the caffiene fix you are looking for." A person I may or may not have actually known may or may not have once reassured a subordinate who had screwed up he was not going to throttle said subordinate because there was too damn much paperwork involved in getting a replacement approved. But that was long ago and some other Three Letter Agency. Or not. You know how it is. |

Found my way over here via Elizabeth Bear's livejournal. I'm a big fan of Bear's fiction and have heard good things about Emma Bull, Sarah Monette, and Will Shetterly.
I am really curious to see how this all unfolds, but I think once we get into the episodes we may very well have something special here.

Hi all. Cal here: literary scholar and research assistant, all the way from Australia. I came here via Elizabeth Bear's LJ, and am mightily intrigued by all of this. I therefore plan to hang around as much as I can given limited internet access...

Wait, so now we're agents?!? And, I was excited to be a conspiracy-theorist.
My grade school teachers always said I need to 'apply myself' and 'aim high'. This is probably what they meant.
