(I've been using a friend's laptop, which has Windows 7, and I like it, but this machine probably couldn't handle it, it's 6 1/2 years old. (And the printer has been declared dead, not fixable, today. Not sure it gets a Requiem Mass, but will be taken to storage locker until next year's Earth Day-related electronics recycling thing. And I need to find a printer/scanner that works with XP. Dammit.) (If anyone reasonably local has a working, older printer/scanner around they want to hand off to someone...*wry*)
